How a search runs

From intake call to start date

No black box. Here is what happens, and when, on a typical engineering requisition.

  1. Day 0

    Intake call

    Thirty minutes with your hiring manager. We leave with the stack, the team shape, the budget and the real must-haves — not the job description's wish list.

  2. Day 1–3

    Sourcing and screening

    We work our bench first, then the market. Every candidate gets a technical screen and a rate conversation before they reach you.

  3. Day 5

    Shortlist

    Three profiles, each with a screen summary, availability and rate. If none fit, we tell you why and recalibrate.

  4. Day 6–12

    Interviews and offer

    We coordinate schedules, prep candidates on your process, and close the offer. Counter-offers are handled before they happen, not after.

  5. Ongoing

    Onboarding and check-ins

    Paperwork, background checks and equipment on day one. We check in at week 1, week 4, then monthly for the life of the engagement.

The questions we get on every first call

How fast can you shortlist?

Five business days from the intake call for most engineering, data and infrastructure roles. Cleared and niche roles take longer and we will say so on the call.

What does it cost?

Contract work is billed at a single hourly rate with the markup stated in the agreement. Direct hire is a percentage of first-year base, agreed before we start. No fee if you do not hire.

What if the placement does not work out?

Direct hire placements carry a 90-day replacement guarantee. Contract placements can be rolled off with two weeks' notice and we will backfill.

Do you place outside the US?

We payroll across the US and support nearshore teams. For other geographies, ask us — we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
